Galangal Root Alpinia officinarum

Grade A

Galangal root (Alpinia officinarum), also known as lesser galangal or Gao Liang Jiang, is a rhizome in the ginger family with a sharper, more citrusy, and pine-like flavor than common ginger — essential to Southeast Asian cuisine and traditional digestive formulations.

Our Grade A galangal is sourced from premium growing regions and precision-sliced to 3–5 mm at our Bozhou facility.

Each batch undergoes volatile oil profiling, heavy metal screening, and pesticide residue testing under EU MRL and FDA standards with a COA provided.

Primary applications include food manufacturing (curry pastes, soups, spice blends), dietary supplements (digestive health formulations), and natural flavor extraction.

As a direct factory exporter, we supply sliced, whole rhizome, and powdered forms, support custom mesh sizes and private-label packaging, and accept flexible order quantities from trial batches to full containers.

Specifications are provided in English as the international trade standard.
